Clarinet has over 20 years experience helping companies implement, manage and upgrade their FreeBSD and Linux servers. We support a variety of applications, configurations and systems both locally and remotely.
Free up your in-house resources by outsourcing your open source software support to Clarinet.
Many businesses rely on open source operating systems like Linux or FreeBSD, but don’t have expert help in-house. We can be your outsourced systems administrator, on call and ready to assist with maintenance, upgrades, incident response and disaster recovery.
Since working with Linux Slackware 0.99 and FreeBSD 1.1 back in 1994, along with commercial Unix versions from Sun Microsystems, Silicon Graphics and Digital Equipment Corporation, we have built a depth of knowledge and experience in the free *nix industry. We have been helping clients with open source operating systems since before “Linux” turned in to an industry buzzword.
We focus on FreeBSD and Linux operating systems and applications:
- Sendmail, Postfix, Dovecot, SpamAssassin, ClamAV mail and mail filter systems
- Apache, Lighttpd, Nginx and OpenLiteSpeed web servers
- PHP, Perl and shell scripting languages
- WordPress is our specialty web applications and we provide WordPress hosting with an enhanced security implementation not found in typical hosting environments
- MySQL, MariaDB databases
- ZFS filesystems, with ZFS send/receive and rsync backups
- IPFW2, iptables and firewall systems
- OpenSSH, SSH.com, OpenVPN, OpenSSL, GPG, PGP, and other security applications
Location is not a barrier to sysadmin
We typically work on servers remotely, whether they are located at the client’s office, rented dedicated servers or Cloud servers from Amazon, Google or someone else.
Currently we do client work on servers located in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, St Louis, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Strasbourg.
